Although, man that scan would really scare me.

That's an obvious photocopy of the cover. Did Zocchi sell repros of these at some time?

Apparently Cargonaut Traveller still commands a pretty high price!:

The earlier sale you referenced Allan was also sold by Wayne's books. Is he sitting on them and only letting them out every few years?

There was one other sale (by a different seller) a few years ago. I think it went for under $200.

I am of the opinion that a lot of the Cargonaut around is in fact fake...

There was definitely reason to be scared. Sadly I am the owner of this fine photocopied tomb. I just figured that the front was scanned for the image in the listing and never would have dreamed that the whole thing was a copy, especially after reading the description. Fortunately the other items in this listing (and another) are authentic. I am waiting to hear back for the seller about a course of action. If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck.... sigh. Too good to be true I guess.

If it was really sold that way, imho this is the hit of the decade!

For the records,  i dont remember who was, the hit of last decade is still impressed in my mind: an orange B3 with a BIN of 50 bucks!

Whoa, that's just crazy

I'm curious to know what significance July 12 1988 scrawled on the bottom of the box has to do with anything? That's pretty random.

ebay.com/itm/TSR-The-Game-Wizards-Brass ... 1438.l2649

I won this!  Until I didn't win it.  The seller refunded my money because he sold it outside eBay.  An old TSR employee to boot!  :?

If he stated in a message to you that he sold it outside of eBay, you can make eBay aware of that and their account will be suspended.

I don't know on that front, Bill.  My hunch is that he just came across another lot (he got a bunch of other Traveller stuff in recently).

heracliades (sp?) was selling a bunch of Cargonaut stuff here and there, could have been him, perhaps (he was one of the principals of Cargonaut, IIRC).

Wow, that Chaos Society stuff has really appreciated! Once I finish collecting some area, I really lose sight of the market!

I was watching this one, but have two sets already. The fact that it was signed made it tempting, but have my sights set on some items I don't have, so need to keep my powder dry  PDT_Armataz_01_36

I'll probably end up the 2nd highest bidder as usual though  PDT_Armataz_01_05
