I asked him directly in Decemeber and he said "I genuinely don't have any more."

Ah... pity. :/ Thanks for the direct question, though!

I'm not so sure.  You may have just gotten a really good deal on yours.  I've been told by several other Acaeum members that this box set usually runs about $60 - $75 and has for a few years.

I sold a NM copy for $75 last year.  It's an odd item because you can sometimes find it cheaply..due to bad marketing or listings on Ebay....for $20-$30 sometimes, and when you market it correctly you can get in the $60-$75 range for the item.  I would keep my eyes open and a nice copy may fall into your lap cheaply.

Ever manage over $150 for Forces of Fantasy, Mike?
Had to take a good hard look at /that/ auction, given their WD#8-40 made barely $3 each next door. Some very silly prices both directions, IMHO.

(... and nm re. the almost complete 1st Arms Law which went cheap, too).

Hmm... thread needs a bump (belatedly).

I was expecting to see depressed prices on the Gaz10 artwork but those realisations do take the biscuit:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

** expired/removed eBay auction **

IIRC Jim was holding back/reconsidering after previous poor sales but, to be honest, he'd do far better with a storefront on a collector's board rather than having to see his original artwork go for those prices on the 'Bay before fees.

I really was hoping to win this one... can't believe it went for more than my bid of $21.50. i need a lizard logo GW book to complete a boxed set I have.

If it was any of you guys that won this would you consider trading this for a wizard logo and $10.

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I also have a face logo gw set (complete and minty) that I'd be willing to trade as well.

Well, we have given that some thought. I think it's just a crappy economy that has a lot to do with it. We do have some of his artwork on his website listed for sale, but noone's really knocking down the doors making offers (which are always welcome) or inquiring about any other artwork right now.

I'll keep an eye out online if one comes up by itself or in a lot.  I'm usually looking at GW stuff, too.

I don't think this price is high at all. I have sold 2nd print (not second ed.) rules only copies for $14 and $18 just this year. Same general condition. So $22 for a first print rules isn't bad.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Ouch! Someone got a bargain on a copy of L3. Don't recognise the eBay ID, but then I don't have access to who's who at the moment.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I hate it when that happens.  It's one of the dangers of sniping.  Still, that's usually the way I bid.  Bummer. :?
