I picked up the Booty and the Beasts.  Pretty happy with the price.

Of course, it doesn't begin to make up for the stuff I've overpaid for.  Why is it I usually manage to find the same auctions as the other unreliable high bidders?

Wow.  Those were going in the $20-$30 range on Ebay.

This is why more people should shop around a bit more.  NK still has 21 copies at $10.

So for NK, are they acting as a consignment shop for some items (ie, the DMG 2nd print Alpha, early numbered module versions, etc), or do they just purchase them outright from collectors like TFM to resell?

For the most part I believe that NK is a store that is very willing to buy large collections and to buy old stock of multiple copies, etc.  In the rare case such as a large volume of high ticket items they made a special arrangement to do the consignment.

So, was it anyone here who picked up the second-printing Primal Order?

I was watching but figured you would be all over it.  One of the two auctions that met the reserve.  I see the others are relisted already.

I didn't, though I was watching it.  I figured other folks here would want it.

I had a bid in there, but it wasn't too high given a number of factors; private auctions always leave me leery, among other things.

What was the other one that hit the reserve?

The Rules Cyclopedia also made the reserve.  I see he has added a BIN to a couple of the auctions:

Not a bad price for this.
