I forgot to bid (well, I was going to bid, but I wasn't at home when it ended, like I thought I would be) on a lot of Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness and the Warhammer 1st edition hardcover. It went for $1 more than half what I paid for the RoC book alone. :( Oh well, good win for the lucky person.

I had that in my watch list and was going to buy it if I got outbid on an auction I was bidding on.  I did get outbid but alas...I waited too long.

Thanks, KoP :D  If you're still looking for another folio, I may have a spare....

Thanks for the offer Gro, but I managed to pick up a pretty nice one this past Saturday for the same price from Badmike.  My original is shall we say...rogered beyond repair.

Finally spot a copy of Mythus Prime on eBay, and who should outbid me at the last moment but waynes_world_of_books.  I give it a month before it shows up at some horribly inflated price in his abebooks shop.

This constantly getting outbid at the last moment by him is really starting to get on my nerves though.  (Though I am curious as to why his eBay feedback is now private.)

By presentation set do you mean the set that came with a slip case to store them all in or something else?  No idea on number though.

Nice win Gro on this 5th print set with some extras. Granted the box is a bit rough, but still not bad all in all. :)

So, I've been trying to obtain a TSR Silver Collector's box for a little while now, but it's been fairly dry lately. All of the sudden, this week, 4 come up for offer.

The first 2 quickly go up to $100 and I move on.

The third sits nicely at $60 until about 45mins to go, but I have to go run errands, so I throw in my $105 bid and go do my errands. I get sniped by a guy who does a $103 with about a minute to go and sees I'm only $2 above him instead of $2.50, so he throws in 107.50 at the last second.

Sunday was a busy day, so I completely forgot about the 4th one. It went for $71.00. *sigh*

Thought I'd won that one too, thought my snipe was ridiculously OTT! Oh well, sort of relieved because my credit card would have had to carry the damage. Nice box, wasn't it?

Oh yes, lovely box, immaculate books, mysterious 'workpad' - the only thing missing is a wee plastic bag for dice.     Should have gone over $200 but that just seemed insane at the time.  I can of course take some comfort in Deadlord's dictum... that there will always be another one along soon.  :D
