Well, I was bidder #1, and I know there were a few others here who noticed it.

I noticed it the day it popped up but I didnt notice the PotVQ right away.  When I realized that Steven had bid on it I was thinking "why in the world is he bidding on that pile of shit?".  Then I looked a bit closer.

I put in a token bid just for the hell of it.  I'm kinda surprised it went as high as it did.

me n stephen were onto this right at the start literally within minutes, and discussed it. i wasnt going to bid so he would have a chance of bidding for it, but somehow knew that there was no chance in hell that ppl would miss it.

well there we go.

actually it does look a little ruffled so maybe the price is about right. the rest of the lot tbh, is just clutter.

Think I've only missed Tac Cards once that were with a D&D box set.

Course now its becoming more specific searches these days.

I think I won that set.  The Tac Cards weren't complete...maybe 2 missing, IIRC.

If you're interested, though, I'm ready to get rid of them.   :D

I think some others would be interested in the Tac Cards.

Slightly off topic: I've been thinking of putting mine in those sleeved binder sheets but I think I need the 6 or 8 pocket (9 ones are to small). Anyone know of a cheap place to get these online.

I've got TAC cards going up soon too. I think they're incomplete. I'd sell my complete set, but JG has always been my favorite.

I totally lost track of this auction until it was too late.  Someone got a pretty nice looking 5th print set:

We never got around to doing the statistics, but that poll I ran way back over a year ago seemed to indicate that the 5th print set was owned by fewer members than the vaunted 4th print set.

I asked about that Swords & Spells and was the seller pretty much indicated that it was a photocopy.

correct. just like the classics.
official TSR photocopy = final impression. genuine and purchased at same time as other volumes. staple rust is your friend and a match in this case for reference copy :)
very small number run off for complete sets of supplements ordered and maybe some over if I recall
3rd impression might be photocopy internal with printed cover but have not seen those for sure. do not know if ran out of text or covers first. might be different for each supplement
2nd impression is unpriced stock list
1st impression is priced stock list
all for 6th print swords + spells

Funny, I recall seeing one just like that a couple of months ago, being described in the auction as "white cover Swords & Spells".
