OK, I know that you lot have all bought multiples of these at $10.00 on ebay before - but that price seems (oddly) unavailable to me.  Nevertheless, I thought I might be on to a winner with this super shiny still shrinkwrapped, untouched by oily gamer-hands one...

but, then again, maybe NOT

aaaaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!  (shakes fist at sky)

        you know - I don't think I want one anyway.  :x

mine cost £3 in a charity shop! - The following week I BINed one for $20AU inc shipping. (A good week as the Australian one was still in the shrink and I offloaded it straight away for £50!)
I actually really like the product - its really user friendly and still cheaper than buying the early mags (later ones are basically landfill fodder I'm afraid - unless anyone wants to make me an offer on about 200 random, multiple issues between issues 130 and 250!!!)

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

I paid the retail price plus the shipping cost way back, when the product was released. It wouldn't be easily found in Italy, so (like the Core Rules/Expansion and the Atlas) I had to purchase it on the Internet.

Thanks,
I must say these will be the crowning jewel of my collection ( even above my  woodies or tourney mods ).  I just thought were very cool because they are the "momma & papas " of dragon dice and will look good between the woodies when I get them displayed.

I actually felt I got really lucky ( IMHO ) on the price that I won them at ( sorry Stephen ) I'm almost embarrassed to even say what my snipe was set at but it was more than triple what I paid  . I'll be heading out today to get some mahogany to make a nice display case for them ( although purple heart may win out ).

Nice win!  if you really want something (confining my ramblings here to D&D collecting) that bad - and you manage to get it on ebay - then that is fab.  Oh, I like the idea of a custom display case.  :)

Yes, nice win there.  Just be sure you display them out of direct sunlight; one of those sets looks susceptible to melting!

Lol, I hear ya. Had to put the verbal hurting on my buddy when he asked the question " are we going to use them ?"  :!:  :!:  I guess he's used to me running rares out of my collection but a few "f-bombs" in my short reply quelled that thought  :D

Well, thanks to my lovely wife unplugging our wireless router for "just a minute" I missed out on these:

and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Grrrr.

Interesting! Now I know the second one to look for.

You told me you had the first though, Allan; hence the previous copy ending up with Brian instead. What's up with that?

I frickin' hate when stuff like that happens.  I was playing a computer game one night and momentarily forgot how to tell time.  I quit my game so I could put a last second bid on this sucker:
A Song of Ice and Fire RPG | eBay
Found out I was 3 minutes late.  I was super-duper pissed for a couple of minutes.  So I just picked up this one instead:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1
Had to pay about $20 more for it, but at least I dont have to make Badmike cringe when I told him I took it out of the shrink.  :D

I told you that awhile ago, David---did the PM disappear from your inbox during your hiatus?

I have the text, so it's not super-high on my list of stuff to buy any longer, which I why I passed on the one for Brian.

If it makes you feel a little better - hamilcar's stuff I have found can be a little bit bashed around from storage.  Nothing too bad but sometimes just a little worn.  You were better off with your second one.

Nice win Paul:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEDW:IT

The last one of these that came up on eBay was 7 sheets IIRC, and again IIRC no one on the board won them---I happened to be away from my PC when they ended, so they went for $19 or so IIRC.  Le sigh....

Sounds about right, that.

*dodges slings and arrows from Paul* ;)
(OK, let's just say you also won one of my top few wishlist items from Tim's list - and it's a variant to that currently shown on The Acaeum pages. Neat...).

=

Next time you're planning on being away, Allan, let me know to place a snipe and I'll send a couple of freebie sheets over!
