Noble Knight Games wrote in NobleKnightGames is getting PATHETIC:Dear Acaeum, valued customers, long term business associates, and dare I say a few friends,

2) We don't post actual pictures of expensive items.

3) We used a picture(s) we should not have.

I will address all of these issues as best I can:

2) If you want a real picture, ask us.  If it's a cheapo item, we probably aren't going to take one, it takes more time than we have.  You'd really sooner have us spend all our resources doing this?  How many cool collections and items would be lost?  We will describe this for you at any rate and answer any questions you have, frankly a picture isn't really worth 1000 words when we are talking about a book.  Of course we have a camera.  Pulling an item from our warehouse, taking a picture, putting the item back (which has to be recataloged per my requirements, otherwise it might be put back in the wrong place), emailing you the photo, etc., takes 15 minutes of time.  That is expensive.  If it's expensive item (over a couple hundred bucks), we'll get you one if you want one.  Many pricey items DO have actual photos and these typically will be stated in the listing.  You can always stop by our store too.

As has been said, low priced items and brand new items are not the issue when it comes to photos. The used items are where the problems have occurred. I can see how it is too labor intensive to take photos of items after they have been cataloged into the system and shelved in the warehouse. That would take too much time in the vast majority of cases. That said, what I don't understand is why a photo isn't taken as the item is initially being graded, evaluated and entered into the system. I can't imagine that the stock images they use are auto-assigned. They go to a directory and assign them to items. If they took a picture of the item right away as they are cataloging it, those images would be in a similar directory to be assigned to each item. When a person is going to pick the item from stock they would have access to that original photo to compare to the item they grab. The purchaser would also have that photo to compare to the item they receive. That sounds very simple to me.

As an aside,

They opened up an actual store in Janesville, Wisconsin, I think about a month or so ago. Their warehouse can't be far from that location...

RPG’s, D&D in particular has had a major influence in my life. It’s bonded me together with life long friends...it’s that bond in life not just as friends, but in our jokes, our mannerisms, and what we find funny. Invincible Overlord

Yeah, we're gonna sneak in & take pictures of each individual item, then hack the website to replace the stock photos.
