Yeah, auctionsieve is really good at this kind of filtering. Over the course of about two weeks my trash filter has gradually filled up with about 150+ keywords. Once you have this thing fine tuned you really get to see only the stuff you really wanna see. Add to this the fine feature that you are only showed the new auctions, the old, already seen auctions are hidden from you. That means that a search on ebay that would normally give you about 8000 results is tuned down to about 300-400 results. Quite a cool thing, that

Seriously, look into Auction Sieve. Without even hardly trying, you can knock out a bunch of stuff you're not interested in; later, with some practice and some fine-tuning, it's possible to set up pretty much a perfect filter.

It's in my top three pieces of shareware ever. Actually, since the author does not demand payment, I guess it's technically freeware ...

Perhaps as a service to the collectors out there, maybe one of you Auctionsieve users could make your complete trash word list available to the rest? Of course it would only be a start, because the fine tuning would still be up to the individual user.

I'm okay with the "RARE!" and "OOP!" nonsense, mostly because I ignore every single example I see.

But how about keyword spamming? I can see both sides of a lot of the discussions on these forums â€” sniping, vigilantism (sp?), etc. â€” but I can't think of a single positive thing to say about keyword spamming. It's total horseshit.

Oh yeah...definitely spam. Rather cute how he included the entire alphabet in his keywords list. In short, you type in anything at all, and this "man's" auction will pop up.

Strangely enough I don't mind keyword spamming NEARLY as much as I mind the crap that Guido puts in -- I honestly think that Guido puts in his little "fiction" just to bury the item descriptions.

Back to irratating...

I pay with paypal within minutes of any win. Why can't some of these sellers mail anything within a reasonable time frame. The good ones get items out within a few days. Then there are those that take 10 days just to get to the post office. That just pisses me off...

It seems I an constantly waiting for something that I purchased three weeks prior... :evil:

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!
