The last chapter in the GDQ series (comprised of the Giants, Drow, and Queen subseries) for AD&D.  It was provided its own code to illustrate that it can be easily played by itself.  It is the only module in the GDQ series that does not have a monochrome version.

Q1 Queen of the Demonweb Pits comes with a double cover (module booklet nested inside two covers of maps).  Thanks to Eric Pass for this info.


Printing Information Logos
  • First (1980):  Wizard logo.  ISBN on back cover bottom left.  Map on interior booklet cover lacks a legend at the bottom.  This print is a noticeably lighter shade of purple than later prints. (Thanks to Scott Cordiner for help with this info).

  • Second:   Wizard logo.  ISBN on back cover bottom left.  Map on interior booklet cover now has a legend.  This, and later prints, are a darker shade of purple than the First print.  (Thanks to Scott Cordiner for this info).

  • Third (1981):  TSR Face logo.  ISBN on front and back cover, bottom left.  (Thanks to Domenic Giordano for this info).

  • Fourth:  TSR Face logo.  ISBN on front cover bottom left.  ISBN and Piece Code (116-F-9035) back cover bottom left, Product Number back cover bottom right.  The module booklet itself has a Piece Code (117-T-9035) on the back page of the booklet under the Erol Otus drawing of Lolth, bottom left, and another Piece Code (106-M-9035) on the map of the Demonweb in the bottom left of the legend.  (Thanks to Matthew Foster and Domenic Giordano for this info).


Auction Commentary

As the conclusion to the popular D- and G-series modules, Q1 prices at auction tend to be higher than their abundant supply would suggest.
