The first of the wilderness series, the first book of the Wilderlands of High Fantasy covers the settlements and regions for Campaign Map #2-Barbarian Altanis / Campaign Map #3-Glow Worm Steppes.  This was sold with Installment N.  The second book of the Wilderlands of High Fantasy covers the settlements and regions for Campaign Map #4-Tarantis / Campaign Map #5-Valon.  This was sold with Installment O.

This campaign setting includes information on the villages, populations, leaders, technological levels, citadels and castles, and wilderness monster lairs of these areas. This covers the settlements of the City State of the Invincible Overlord, Tegel Manor, Modron, Thunderhold, and Haghill. Six maps (three Judge, three Player) are also included: Campaign Map 1: City State of Invincible Overlord, Campaign Map 2: Barbarian Altantis / Campaign Map 3: Glow Worm Steppes and Campaign Map 4: Tarantis / Campaign Map 5: Valon.
 


Printing Information

  • 1st Printing (1977):  Two 16-page booklets.  Product list is titled "Booty List" (2nd Book) which lists six products with only City State Playing Aid (#12) being numbered.
     

  • 2nd Printing (1979):  One 32-page book that does not have the product code at the bottom of the cover.  Product list is titled "Other Great Fantasy" with the highest number being 97.
     

  • 3rd Printing (1980):  One 32-page book and has item # and price in small box near bottom right corner.  Thanks to Richard Maloney for help with this info.  Product list is titled "Treasure Vault" (cover) with the highest number being 270.  Product list is just photos (book) with the highest number being 109.
     

  • 4th Printing (1981):  One 32-page book that does not have the words "Dungeons & Dragons" or the product code at the bottom of the color cover.  Product list is titled "Treasure Vault" with the highest number being 710.

This has been update to the d20 format from Necromancer Games which has been included in the Wilderlands of High Fantasy.
