'Punk '21 was a licensed UK fanzine for Cyberpunk by R Talsorian Games. In my attempt to create a collections list for Cyberpunk I have come accross only one scan of this publication, and so far as I can tell it only ran 3 issues. I was curious if any one here has any additional info on the 'zine. I don't know who published it or know for sure that it only ran for three issues (but that seems likely). I am looking for cover scans of this publication, and possibly looking to purchase copies if any one has some lying around. Also looking for more info on who released it, maybe who edited it etc..

Oh joy, another one I didn't know existed! (OK, it's relatively new, but still...).
This one;

*nods*. Was trying to figure out whether that was a Euro or Pound sign on the cover, but a Google newsgroups search ( http://groups-beta.google.com/ ) brought up;

Interface mixture of tech (cybertech, guns, Aston Martin DB50),
background (London '21, United Nations Colonial Marine Corps), programs,
narcotics etc.
The second issue had stuff about Amsterdam, crossbows (an excellent
article), Sly & Stance PIs (also excellent), Executowns, Saab Stomper
(4WD armoured MPV) etc.
The third revolved mostly around aquatic nomad culture, and has a copy
of the awful CAWS rules revamp (sorry Steve, if you are watching) but is
otherwise pretty interesting.
If anyone knows if there was an issue 4 or later I would be interested.
As for getting hold of the earlier issues, I haven't seen them on sale
for years. I guess that they never made it out of the UK in the first
place. |
No luck with the editor's name, thus far, or any more cover scans, I'm afraid...
(Thanks for the "add", btw)

http://www.caws.demon.co.uk/rpg_files/rpg.htm would appear to be a good hook, since they wrote articles for the 'zine.
Brette seems to know about it, too... |

Ah sorry, Brette, I misremembered the thread whilst browsing through.
You were responding to a comment, not making it. My bad...
Don't worry, you've got no competition from here should any other copies turn up on eBay!
(Oh, btw, you said no (particular) interest in Cyberpunk, there.
What about Cyberpunk/CoC cross-over (perChance #3)? Don't have that one, but sounded "interesting".... *g* ) |
