Is there a list anywhere of all the different magazines from the 70's and 80's that published articles on D&D? I am talking about third party magazines like White Dwarf, Different Worlds, etc. |

Thanks for the info!
Does anyone know anything about a magazine called The Familiar? Did it have D&D articles? Who made it? etc.... |

I can ping some industry lists I'm on, if you want me to, but everyone's away this week for Origins right now, so there wouldn't be any replies until afterward. |

I would appreciate any information that I can get. Thanks.
The little that I have found on the net about it is confusing. I am looking for an article that was published sometime in the early eighties by a gaming magazine other than the Dragon. I don't recall the title, but it was all about making your game high fantasy. The cool part was that there was a system for tracking how your players actions would affect the balance of the world. Evil acts and lots of magic made the world worse- diseases increases, crops failed, the sun is eclipsed, etc.
Anyway, I didn't see this article mentioned in the index for Different Worlds (although titles can be misleading) which was my first guess for where it came from. Then I saw some lists showing a mag called The Familiar which kind of rings a bell with me. But after further searching, this mag doesn't look like it came out until 1988 which is too late. The confusing part is that some lists show a mag that is just called Familiar. Are these two different publications? Any help would be appreciated. |

all from memory;)
There were 2 different mags both printed by the same people, one printed in the late 70's/early 80's and the other printed at the end of the 80's. The confusing this is that they both started from 1, ie 1-10? in the 70's and the 1-10? in the late 80's
