Does anyone have a complete list of these?

I think this would be worthy of placement on an Acaeum webpage.

It would make an interesting 'campaign' to see *all* of these somehow strung together.

TIA,

prespos

Please don't feed the troll.  We don't need another list of imaginary modules for the infamous AD&D Open competition.

Hi Kosh,

the AD&D Open Tournament:

Gen Con XIII = A1, A2, A3, A4.
900 players competed in that tournament (see Dragon 49 (just saw it), and Dragon 43, if my references are correct for the latter).

Other than that, I don't know what the others are.
Were there others?

As well, IIRC, there was an AD&D Masters tournament, as well.

A complete list of these adventures would be something of great interest to most people on these forums: perhaps a complete list of 1E Gen Con / Origins tournaments (as opposed to events).

I think that the C series (as well as A, G, etc.) just touch the tip of the proverbial iceberg ....

Happy gaming,

As a member of the RPGA, I played in many Masters tournaments, and Grandmaster tournaments as well. The list of these, over the 25-30 years of RPGA history, would easily number in the hundreds...

Hi,

plus the UK tournament modules were often different as well.

Cheers,

I found a partial list of the ultra rare troll series modules for the AD&D Open:

MH1:  Troll Plays a Prank - solo adventure where you play the troll and try to avoid a linching

MH2:  Troll Pawns his Wares - troll opens up a shop and sees how much he can sell before the locals find out the stuff is shoddy or stolen

MH3:  Troll's Return - troll sneaks back in search of more food

So, what would be the valution boards opinion as to value for the MH Series Troll Pack?

I'm not sure what's going on here, but I do know that this is pretty funny stuff.

The consensus seems to be that the Troll Pack is way too common to be collectible.  But for the price can sometimes provide some entertain value.

Mars, you seem to have missed MH4

MH4 - Troll loses interest in all attempts to take the p*ss and leaves shop and wares for all adventurers with a minimum of 4 INT to 'troll' through and pick the items of actual worth...

Invincible Overlord ....

hundreds of Master's tournaments?
hundreds?
whoah.

i thought that they ran only one per Gen Con / Origins, something along those lines.

with the LC adventures (which weren't tournaments, in the same sense), yes, there were hundreds of those, so I could see there being some kind of an RPGA precedent.

amazing, and something that needs to be listed (for both the Masters & the LC adventures).

when I have the time, I would like to contact the RPGA, and ask if they have records of these events, and if the original hard copies still exist.

Thanks,
John

PS. Mars and Ashmire.

Please open a thread called MH1-4 Against the Troll.

Some of us out there have an interest in furthering the game & the hobby as a whole, and we have been working hard at it for many years.
When people are getting together to discuss something that may be of interest to present and future gamers, please, don't get in our way, and waste our time.

PPS. Mars, on the acaeum boards, you have implicitly called me a thief.
I want everyone here to take note of this and remember it.

Mars, if I have to make my Paypal records (payments sent for items received) public knowledge, to put you in your place, then I will.

As to shoddy products ... check out my feedback. I sell items in the whole range of conditions ... and when something is significantly damaged, it is noted.
All my items are guaranteed complete, unless the item description says otherwise, and in the latter case, I'll provide those extra photocopies.
Unlike many other eBay sellers out there, I do not sell 'as is' : I sell until the customer's satisfaction is achieved.
I've only been selling mods for less than a year (excepting a few, a toe in the water, last year), and already I've had two people say that I am their favorite seller.

I am very proud of what I do, and I always strive to be better.

Mars, I've got a good guess as to the reason for your campaign of libel & slander, but I withold further comment, for now.

at the risk of offending someone, I'd back Mars all the way as a highly regarded and trusted member of this community.

no offense taken.
how regarded and trusted someone is is irrelevant in a court of law.
what matters is evidence, the facts.

there is such a thing as defamation law in Canada : what happens on the net, who knows whose jurisdiction this would be in?

it's too bad that things like Savras & Detect Lie spells are not real.
However, I wonder about Veritas & Ma'at.

ashmire, I don't have a problem with you ... it is a certain poster who uses the name of a Deity. it is pretty obvious that i have endured/ignored this persons jabs, insults, etc., right from the moment they started.

however, i am running a business, and the doing the best that i can, and when someone implicitly accuses me of being a thief, what choice do i have, but to respond.

i hope that this accusation is noted, and remembered, by as many members of this community as possible.

with neither regard, nor trust, mars, I invite you to continue, not here, but in a separate thread devoted to this
(let's say, MH1-4 Against the Troll).
nay, I implore you to do this, so that your villification does not clutter the threads of those, who are, again, trying to do something to advance the hobby, and the game, in general.

again, Mars, please take your copies of MH1-4 off your shelf, and devote a thread to that, here, at acaeum.

again, this thread was about something important:
the compilation and/or finding of a list of AD&D Open (et al.) events.
