I bought a big lot of The General and Strategy & Tactics magazines. Perusing it, I noticed some VERY OLD General ones: Volume 2 n° 5 (January 1966 it's older than me!), Volume 3 n#6 (March 1967 older than me too...), Volume 5 n° 3 (September 1968, A LITTLE younger tham me ) and Volume 5 n°4 (November 1968, a sprightly youngster! with a Gen Con coverage!!!). How much could they be worth? I guess quite a signifcant amount of money... I saw in one a photo of an Avalon Hill booth at the 1967 Toy Fair in New York... but I don't dare to scan it. If I locate the D&D review in the other The General magazines (I have published in 1974) I'll keep it![/i] |

You can get a good idea by keeping on the ebay listings for General Mag. They still seem to sell very well even though a bootlegger is selling pirate pdfs on ebay.
S&Ts have a big following. I've seen a couple collections from #1 on up go through ebay recently. |
