Hrm. Not certain what the seller means by "version 3.5".
That's a first edition version of the game anyway, which according to Greg's page on it: "The first edition of the game had a rule book of 8½” x 11”, was in a printed manila or white paper envelope, and had thin, die-cut counters."
The second edition came in a zip-lock bag, but had different cover art. |

I wrote him after reading the Linked pages you gave us. (THANKS).
His Response is below:
| Quote: | Wow, that's amazing, because the inside front cover lists ''CREDITS FOR EDITION 3.5.'' The INTRODUCTION states, ''This edition of the rules represents the third re-writing of the rules to WHITE BEAR & RED MOON. . . .'' So maybe the authors made some minor changes to Edition 3 and called it 3.5. I'll post photos of these statements tomorrow if possible.
The game comes in a big ziplock bag, not an envelope. The booklet is a cream or light tan color, measures approx. 8-1/2 x 11 inches, and has 28 numbered pages plus a green charts centerfold, some text on the inside front cover, and a map legend on the inside back cover.
Hope this helps clear up any confusion. Thanks for your question, and happy bidding!

And most copies of Talisman expansion without box are fake copies, especially in UK. Very easy to copy, a lot of mony to win...
In a general way, if there is no box, don't buy it |

The seller has now updated his listing adding pictures of the copyright page and a couple of other pages from the book as well.
Apparently there was a 3.5 Edition.
See the newly added copyright page picture, showing a date of 1979
(Latest date of the FOUR dates listed in the picture)
The picure/scan of the Introduction note is convincing.
It lists other Chaosism publications that came out later than the first couple of Editions of WBRM.........
The seller has been very cooperative in answering my detailed inquiries.
I think the guy is legit and I think this version of WBRM is also legit.
I could be wrong, but if so, then the guy is very good at it.
He has me convinced.
Sigh, if I had the funds I would bid on it.
3 days 15 hours left and still ZERO bids.......
starting price $200.00 |
