Thankfully, the self-policing members of this forum have seen fit to confine off-topic discussions to this single thread, for the most part.  Please continue this fine tradition.

Didn't show up in my Google search... it's pretty obscure but it's from an 80's TV show that almost everyone here probably watched.  No D&D references in the show as far as I know, and the line was spoken in Albanian.   Wink

This was a surprise to see a RPG topic on the Daily Kos site.

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/4/28/21148/2479/209/505234

It kind of rambles all over the place, but is a pretty good read for a non-game site.

Unfortunately, I am still working out of home and taking care of a parent with Alzheimer's.

At the moment I am neither in the financial position nor have the ability to take the time to go to Gencon (as much as I would like to).

The only respite care that I have been able to arrange is for 3 hours a day from Monday to Friday, which is somewhat...limiting.

I will be looking forward to hearing everybody's stories about the con. Hopefully I can make it to Gencon in the near future.

lol

Black kettles and all that stuff..............   Rolling Eyes
Geez Al, one would think you could at least admit that some foreigners also spend too much time here.........
Whats your average posts per day on the Acauem alone?
I would guess about 10 or so. (Okie Dokie, its ONLY 5.84 at this time)
Not to mention the time you likely spend searching/bidding on E-Bay and other web auction sites..........
Between self torture (Running through desserts and such) and surfing on-line, I cannot see how you have time for anything else, including sleep.

Yeah, really. How could anyone that spends so much time online be able to do those marathons? Really. Think about it. Al'd be like the majority of the US... too bloated to be able to breathe.

http://www.sand-baggers.com/gobi_challenge.htm

http://www.comrades.com/

http://www.extrememarathons.com/augrabies/

http://www.6633ultra.com/

so we shall see how the body feels come middle of next year!

"groin chompin shrews" - a rare breed of the Giant Elephant Shrew.  They are found in the Tegel area only.  Known to be vicious.  Also, some are raised by demented english DM's and are frequently used for comic relief.

Running through desserts?  Shocked   So which desserts do you enjoy running through the most Al?  Tiramisu?  Cherries Jubilee?  Bananas Foster maybe (just make sure its not flaming before you do)?  Or do you prefer the more inexpensive desserts like chocolate chip cookies and milk?  Or perhaps you have a regional preference and would rather run through Spotted Dick or Sticky Toffee pudding?   Rolling Eyes
