You mean some people actually think having one version of an adventure is enough????

the full set of Tac cards could take a while.

KOP ... good price for the Dark Tower. I reckoned that was about my limit and when I saw I'd matched your bid I thought, well you got there first - time  to back off.

maybe next time

Regarding the lot that started off this thead:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190198174575

The DMG in the lot did turn out to be a 1st print, although it has a good deal of external wear and warping (ironically the pages inside are unmolested). The same can be said for the Runequest.

The most interesting component of the lot, in terms of things that might not have come through in the description, are the 13 issues of Judges Guild Journal, from Journal L (April/May 1977) through Issue W (April/May 1979). Amazing to see Star Wars stills gracing the cover. Also, two Judges Guild catalogs were included, the August 1978 and November 1979, the latter still in its mailcover.

Overall quality of the other included material is strong - mostly first printings, and given what's included, likely pulled from the installment envelopes from L forward by the current seller. The Guide to the City State has some of the unwelcome warping, the rest are clean.

At the end of the day, nothing here that has not already been well documented in the JG subweb. Kudos!

Nice assortment of items for the price you ended up paying.

Thanks for confirming the 1st printing DMG! Nice to see that my old eyes are still functional.  Very Happy

Journal 'M' seems to always appear in the old journal lots.

And yeah leadjunkie picked up a few rarer value packs.

He pretty much put paid to any of us bidding on those items.  I feel lucky to have gotten away with one piece of Bob Bledsaw's original art.

I got three booklets of miniatures rules that completed that part of my collection...and one of the booklets was colored on by Bill Owen...to convince Bob to do a color version...so, my own little piece of history and a collection slot filled in.

I resemble that remark!

I'm not doing it intentionally.  Feel free to look up the bidding history on my account (eBay handle of ************!************ ).  I created another account that has a period instead of an exclamation point, but I haven't figured out what to do with it yet.  Smile

Egor must have all 100, this was a second chance offer and I was the 5th or 6th highest bidder Confused

Oh well, I have it now and at a good price.

Here is the original auction I lost

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=310050741780
