I saw this but am not familiar with it

Pirates & Plunder Role Playing Game Of Piracy
made by Yaquinto Publications in 1982.

The contents look VF. Storage box has broken corners and rub wear average to less than average condition to what I see from older boxes on Bay.

For $15 is this a good investment? I can not really find a lot on google for it as far as value goes.

Average price I suppose .. but the broken corners prob a bit of a turn off.. here is an auction that I was watching a little while ago with no bids at $0.99 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170202755180&s sPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=007

My opinion is never look at these things as an "investment".. If you want to do that invest in some rare 5 tsr items, they are more likely to go up than anything else.. and really we are only talking about $15 here..

Yes, I got it for less than $10 and it was in excellent condition. I never saw it going for more than $20... So not a "rare" item in this way.

It is mentioned in Schick's Heroic Worlds and is described as a "Second rate historical system set in the age of piracy in the Caribbean." For contents, it says there should be three books, reference sheets, a pad of character sheets and dice.

If you list it as a featured auction starting: "This will appeal to Pirates of the Caribbean fans. This is all where it started folks......" you could start a Pirates and Plunder collecting frenzy.  Smile

Yaquinto put out some interesting items in the early '80s. Pirates & Plunder was not one of them.  Wink
