I was thinking about putting this up for trade, but I confess I have no idea as to the relative rarity of this, and didn't want to ask for too much or too little.
I have the UK printing of the D&D Basic Rules (printed 1986). I find a mention of it on Amazon (but no price), and one international eBay listing.
Anyway, it's the one shown at the link:
http://home.flash.net/~brenfrow/uk/basicrules.htm
Anyone know anything about this? I saw the auction history for it here, but the only entries were from 2003, so they are of limited utility. |

I suppose I should have linked to that. If you look at the auction history at the link, however, all it has is this:
Auction History: VF: $19 (8/03), VF: $56 (12/03)
It's a (very) rough guideline, with a rather large disparity, and more than 4 years old. I was hoping someone had a more current price or trade value than that. |

I believe the £115 one was a 1st or second print -- though I can't recall for certain. |

Don't forget that apparent "nostalgia bump" in prices after Gary Gygax died. |

Hi,
there are only 2 prints, I think.

I was going by the listing on the foreign versions page, so I guess what I meant by first or second print was the ones with the black cover. |

I was going to offer you $40 for it, but that now seems to be low according to the rest of the posts. (I lost my copy...it's somewhere in the house.. )
Let me know if/when you put it on eBay, anyway. |
