If available for purchase: original Dave Trampier cover art for TD #15...
This was the only time TD published a double cover; continuous art front and back.
This is one of only two known Tramp arts from magazine not in his possession; both were gifts to me. (The other is the "Christmas Card" from a back cover with all of the TSR "old-timers" in the sleigh [or falling out of it] pulled by dragons driven by your humble servant, me. I will never part with that one.)
It is signed, dated 4/78 and notated as Anniversary Issue.
It is framed (rather on the semi-cheap) with UV glass.
...what do you suppose it might be worth? With provenance, etc., of course.
Installment terms might be possible.
You could PM, but I would really rather hear your ideas at tkask@cinci.rr.com |

Is the rest actually in his possession? Since he's cut ties to his former art career, might he have ditched the rest of the originals as well? Could they all be still out there somewhere? |

Very unlikely that there would be any just "floating around" out there. Dave was almost obsessive about getting his art back; he would want to know how soon printer was returning it and kept track of all of it, color or b&w, small or large.
Not knowing all of the facts concerning his leaving TSR and all the subsequent issues he dealt with, I still feel it is entirely possible that he has it all squirreled away somewhere, or just as possible he has destroyed it or let it become ruined with time.
As far as I, or anyone else that I know, knows these are the only two he didn't keep. There is a slight possibility that he may have given one or more to Tom Wham, but I doubt it. |

I have posted on Tome of Treasures and enlisted appraisal from Heritage Auctions.
Your group has shown me utmost courtesy and kindness; I'd really like to see one of you get it IAAP.
I fully intend to sell it, by the end of April, I hope.
The fact that this is the first Tramp piece to ever become available should be a big plus, I would think. Time will tell. |

Beautiful, but way out of my league, sadly.
Good luck with the sale. |
