Well, last year's was US-only.
This year's is supposed to include other countries, though they don't list any stores outside the US just yet. |

I managed to get a few things last year by purchasing some items from Aaron. He was part of the program and extended the free offers to his online customers.
The terms on this years web site make it clear that they are only going to ship the boxes of freebies to the 'brick and mortar" game stores, so I don't know if NK is going to be able to extend the same offer this year. |

Noble Knights is listed in the store locater, so looks like they are participating.

As of right now, the store that I went to that participated last year isn't participating this year. So I guess I'll have to wait for the PDF versions of the things I want. |

I may use that opportunity to pick up some TLG stuff that Aaron has. |

As long as we get some more "Go to Hell" stares from LSC employees as we scarf up piles of stuff, I'm in!

Looks like I don't have to worry about it ... no participating stores within a 100 mile radius of me. |

Pretty sure Badmike and JohnGaunt can snag a few items for you. There are something like ten stores in the immediate Dallas vicinity that are participating. And knowing them they will go to everyone of them. |

Hi,
we registered, as the guy in charge at WOTC UK said I could have any shop items
Unfortunately, we are now listed as a Store thats running events, and advertised on the WOTC website, and have been getting emails from people asking when they start.
oops....
Cheers,
Malc |

Only one store listed in the Detroit area. RIW Hobbies in Livonia, which is mostly miniatures and cards, and doesn't open until noon.
That's the same day I have a D&D Meetup, and my regular weekly game, so it'll be Meetup --> Free RPG Day --> Game for me. That's some serious dork-power there. |

Have at it gents.
This year's selection didn't look as good to me, but I picked one (limit 1 per person here), bought a little product and had a nice chat with ownership at the FLGS. |

Yeah, this year really sucked. Lone Star Comics (pretty much the only supporter of Free RPG Day in the DFW area besides a couple of indeps) really blew it for me. They had plenty of stock for most of the games on hand but only allowed one item per person. I really wanted to take a look at the new Traveller (even though I doubt I will buy it), the 4E Dungeon Crawl Classic, and the two Cthulhu items. I ended up grabbing the Harnworld adventure since it seemed to be one of the rarest of them and it looked very interesting.
All I can say is that if they end up having a ton of extra stock still around like they did last year, they better not throw it away like I heard some did. |
