Does anyone know what a complete Box Set of Skyrealms of Jorune is likely to sell for?  I've never done much price checking on Jorune items.

Thanks!

I was going to tell him about the large lot ($140 maybe) but it was a lot that contained almost everything ever produced for Jorune (most of which I had never seen before). I could not find a box set that sold recently. I am thinging they are sub $30 but I can't say for certain.

Since we are on the subject there were a few auction a number of weeks ago almost back to back that had a single book (and it was different from any of the ones in the box set) version of Jorune. Has anyone ever seen that or recall seeing the auctions? If so does anyone know if that was a prior or later printing from the box set?

Maybe this might help?

http://www.waynesbooks.com/Jorune.html

From what I know, 1st edition Jorune was a crude put-together, probably valuable, 'cause I never see it on eBay.

The 2nd edition box set is the one everybody normally sees. Some of the 2nd edition accessory books are pretty hard to find.

3rd is still being printed to my knowledge. Old Jorune fans don't mess with 3rd if I read the websites correctly.

yes 2nd ed. boxed set contains:
- tauther guide
- Player manual
- Sholari Guide
- Skyrealm of Kolovisondra
and some characters sheets

no differences between revised 2nd ed. and 2nd ed., only publishing date are different 1985 and 1987 for the revised

Hmm, three sets for sale at Amazon by Wayne . . . how much cash does that guy have tied up in inventory anyway?

One just showed up on ebay within the last 12 hours, so I'll keep an eye on the auction to see what it goes for.

"A very different RPG setting from the usual quasi-medieval Europe backgrounds, Jorune was doomed to obscurity for its very wierdness."

Sound like Jorune was about 10 years too early.  I remember admiring it for its bold approach (having seen only the ads), but I wondered if the publishers really thought it was going to go somewhere.

I just got hold of a Jorune Boxed Set and I must say, it is a fascinating and interesting RPG. My interest was actually piqued after reading about it in Schick's Heroic Worlds. He gave it quite a good review. I agree that it was ahead of its time.

There is a dedicated fan site for this RPG and it seems to have a loyal following.

it's an interesting setting and system and also a very enjoyable read for a collectable.

played a bit with a great DM in the late 80s;

it was a bit weird though: the ramian, muadras scanning the isho and whatnot ... having said that much of FRPG falls on the "bit weird" side of the fence.

I recently picked this value pack for a good price:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=26018185794 2&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=016

It contains the 3rd edition manual, Sholari pack and the Sobayid Atlas.

The 3rd edition of Jorune is actually still in print and available from Chessex games, a company that seems to specialise in dice manufacturing:

Jorune Products in print

Since I picked up that 2nd edition box, in typical Acaeum member fashion, I have been trying to find and buy the other stuff printed. I even got a copy of the old game Alien Logic and managed to get it to run on my computer through DosBox!

This is a bit of an offbeat question. For a while White Wolf magazine ran articles on Jorune. The Jorune fan site lists these:

http://www.jorune.org/whitewolf.html

Does anyone know, which issues of White Wolf these came from?
