Hi,
From memory, the Acaeum dinner didn't finish until gone 10pm last time. Add on another half hour to get back to the Con site, then messing about - so we would start at 23:00 hours?
I hate to sound old, but isn't that rather late, especially for those of us who will still be jet-lagged?
Cheers,
Malc |

I could schedule the dinner a little earlier this year. But I don't what to shut anyone out do to arrival times. What do you all think?

Well I obviously wont be there so I have no stake in the outcome. But wouldnt it be simpler just to do what we did last year for Frank's game and have it during the afternoon on Friday or Saturday? Seemed to work pretty well for all involved. |

I agree but that will work only if Tim's schedule permits it. We'll have to wait for him to weigh in.

Friday might work; Thursday would probably be even better, but I don't know if that works for any of you.
Let me think about this awhile and I'll post again tonight after I get back from my PT job. I'll try to predict my Auction obligation. |

As you, of all groups would know, Fri & Sat nights are AUCTION.
They might want me to auction something on Sat. afternoon; I do not know and won't until then, probably. I will resist that as I think Frank's and my stints in PRIME TIME are adequate contribution for value received.
That said, Thurs afternoon, or Friday afternoon is probably the most likely to be open. Which works best for the "doomed dozen" (or "fatal fifteen")? |

OK, you twisted my arm. I am in. If there is room for one more. I assure you, I can get my character killed like the best of them. |

Oooooooh Friday possibly?
Crap, I signed up for the Hickman XDM Seminar from 2-4(ish) so that may keep me out of contention. I've definitely got to plan on more days next year to fit all this in. |

The list so far is:
Bracton
Blackmoor
lawrenson + Mrs. lawrenson
Prufrock
Gus Landt
smarmy1
stratochamp
yaya
mordrin ?
Invincible Overlord
bbarsh
SoulCatcher78 ?
So that's 13, if both mordrin and SoulCatcher78 can make it.
I'm fine with either Thursday afternoon or Friday afternoon. For Frank's game last year, we just found a quiet corner in the lobby of the Hyatt, which worked great. |

Defenestration is too quick, too easy and not nearly painful or humiliating enough.
Now slow boiling (kind of a hot marinade) in oil over a very low fire, or having some sort of larvae inserted into your ear canal or other avialable orifice, or perhaps a nice long, loving skin-peeling (most assuredly not the type for hiding aging), or, one of my all time favorites , strapping a hapless adventurer to a large spinning wheel set horizontally, giving it a spin and opening the stopcock of the vat of acid overhead, allowing one drip every so often to fall. Will it hit them this time? Next time? Face, legs???? Sort of a Wheel of Misfortune.. bwuuuhahahaha!
Thursday works for me. |

Hiya,
there is a probability* that I will have access to the Executive Lounge in the attached Marriott, and that is normally pretty quiet. Also free soft drinks
Unless anyone has any better ideas, we could pencil that in?
Cheers,
Malc

Interesting... from my first megadungeon, back in the late '70s: 60' dia. round room, domed 40' top w/5' hole in center, roulette wheel filling the bottom, treasure (crown or something) atop center. Wheel spins as long as you hang onto the center, and if you survive a few bounces of the 5' steel ball that drops down (deadly, roll bounce slot randomly), you win the prize. (The ball dissolves 5r later, & various other safeguards.)

As you know, I never saw any of your stuff. But it is often eerie how great minds think alike...lol
My inspiration came from a bad movie where they strapped someone onto a spinning wheel and had someone blind throw daggers; at least three or four to one odds you won't be hit at all, but if you are, where? |
