For a Fair condition ST1, how much should I expect to pay? The price on the module page looks like it might be a bit low at the VF-NM end of the scale, so I don't know how much to trust the Fair price listed there. (Though I could easily be wrong; I haven't watched the VF-NM prices that closely.) Would $600 still be about right for Fair?
How frequently do lesser condition ST1s turn up? |

Unless it was really beat to shit(i.e missing pages or heavily molded or some other such such horrifying thing(s)), I personally would think that you would be hard pressed to get an ST1 for anything less than $1000.
As to frequency, ST1's usually show up on Ebay two or three times a year. A few years ago(in 2005 IIRC), there were or 4 or 5 that showed up, but over the last year or so, I can only think of 2, one of which was a month or so ago and it went unsold with an opening bid of ~$2750 AND a reserve. |

$600 would be a very good price. |

If you don't take it at $600, PM me with details of the guy who's selling it and I'll pony up the dough. |

Oh, it's not like somebody is currently making one available at a $600 price.
I'm just thinking about the possibility of making a wanted offer in the classifieds, and I wanted to make sure I a) knew what I'd be getting myself into in terms of $$$, and b) made a serious, non-insulting offer.
Obviously, a lot would depend on the specifics of the item's condition, but it sounds like $600 is probably too low to be realistic, modulo peoples' money actually being where their mouths are.
(To be clear: I'm *not* suggesting any of you are incapable or unwilling to spend $600-$1000 on a lesser condition ST1. I'm just saying that sometimes priorities and the opportunity cost get the best of us, despite any honest intentions.) |

There was a booth of Brits and GenCon this year. They said that they sold 2 copies of Up The Garden Path: 1 for $4200, and the other for $5000.
And the one that I noticed was in VFine to Near Mint condition.
(Can anyone else confirm this?) |

The VFine one went for $3500 and the better one went for a trade shitload of rares (including a brown box and other rares) |

Have you thought about doing an internet seach and chasing down a PDF? They are out there and they're free. You may need to put in $600 worth of time, but you may not. I don't know how good Google's bots are nowadays. |

Hi,
I once saw a copy with a cigarette burn thru the back cover and few pages.
Cheers,

A .pdf is irrelevant to me. This isn't about simply reading/seeing it. It's about owning a physical copy. |

Troll and Toad once offered me $10,000 for a copy.

Having read it, and attempted to play it, it would probably be better at getting dust out of carpets. |
