So, this auction of D&D dice is starting to attract some attention on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290244603485
You notice how it has the same (or very almost the same) artwork as the 1983 package of Dragon Dice noted here:
http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/miscpages/odd.html
It does not have the 'Dragon Dice' title on the bottom, and is presumably marked 1995 for copyright date. Plus the dice are opaque.
I have a set of the clear dice as per Acaeum reference. Although mine are marked 1986 copyright not 1983 (as they are here). I am assuming that that is just an error here - although it would be interesting if anyone else has a set marked 1983...
Also, interestingly my (early 1986) set has the same product code as this item: 8006. So, this set is 2nd edition date (1995), but same product code as the 1st edition set. Does this 1995 dice pack, effectively a v. similar reprint in the 2nd edition era of the earlier Dragon dice pack, count as a 1st edition item? |

The logo change in the top right is also dates them accordingly. |

If you open the links in separate windows and click back and forth between them. A lot of small difference shows up between the two besides the logo |
