Don't know if this price is too high or not but I wonder what he means by a Rear Collectable. |
Heh... he probably means Rare collectable...
And as far as price, I'm sure we've seen Tiamat for sale before. This is the first time I've seen it in the actual box for sale. That and all the parts are fully functionable... |

Looks pretty beat-up as well. And I just doubt this is a first print. It could be, but I instinctively doubt it. |
It's got the "TM Reg Applied For" on the cover, so it looks like a first print. Hard to tell about the condition, but if it isn't too bad, the price doesn't seem that crazy to me. |

I do see the lizard man logo, but not the TM applied. The picture gets pretty blurry when you zoom. The cover looks worn.
What does a good condition copy go for? |

You can't read it, but the line of red text under the "Dragons" in the "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" at the top is the "TM Reg Applied For" (and even looking at my copy in person, it's somewhat blurry). There's nothing there in the subsequent printings. I don't think I've seen a first print where the cover wasn't worn to some degree; might have been something in the material they used.
I haven't seen a first print up on eBay recently, so I don't have any up-to-date information. But if the prices here are still good, over $100 wouldn't be unreasonable. |

I bid on the same seller's copy of H3, the only Bloodstone module I am missing. And lost to the same buyer.
Guess maybe the economy isn't so bad after all. |

Good grief....I picked up the entire lot of Dragonlance modules in near mint (not shrink) condition for less than that. One of these days I am going to invest in a shrinkwrap machine. |

Assuming approximately $30/book new (I'm just guessing here), then you'd be looking at about $720 new.
So the BIN is no deal, that's for certain. Then again, neither is the opening bid: almost $20/book, with some of those (particularly the 3.0 stuff) worth considerably less. |
