Allan "Grodog" Grohe Will be Offline for a While

Hi all,

Allan emailed Rob and I yesterday evening to state he will be offline for a while. His wife, Heather, was hospitalized and has been in ICU over the weekend. He states that she is recovering well now.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Allan and Heather for her fast and total recovery!

That's horrendous, hopefully everything will be fine. Best wishes for a quick recovery to Allan's family.

Allan is a great, very well respected guy in these here parts at the very least. i think it goes without saying that everyone here, to a person, is rooting for him/his wife and wishing a full recovery in the shortest time possible.

Thanks guys. Heather's doing much better, but still under observation. I'm off to visit her again soon (hours are restricted, even for immediate family). More later.

Damn. If I may speak on behalf of the crew over at Dragonsfoot, here's wishing all the best for Allan and his family. Grodog commands a lot of respect over there, and I consider him to be a friend though we've never met in person.

Thanks everyone. It's been a horrendous 8 days so far (2 ER trips; the first last week resulted in an overnight in the ICU, the second was last night just 30 hours after she'd been released from the first trip to the hospital Sad

), but Heather's hopefully on the road to recovery now. I'll know more after talking with the doctors tomorrow.

Damnit, Allan, this had better not get in the way of our Cosmic Encounter game!

Glad to hear things look better. But, man, leaving the hospital and then having to go right back? That's just over the top ...
