The 1984 box looks like: I gather the '84 set is more rare than the '79 set, and just slightly less rare than the original pamphlet version (any print.) But, I don't claim to know for certain... just what I've discovered in trying to hunt for it (strangely, I found 1st print, 1st edition BH before the '84 box set.) This looks like an instance where the box cover art improved in a later edition. Though with my D&D stuff part of what makes the early art so appealing to me is partly nostalgia.
