No doubt about that.  I am curious to see if the snipers hit Aneoth's Orange B3 reserve price.

It is unlikely that they will, snipers or otherwise.   Cool
But if one or more bidder/sniper does get there (or higher)  Shocked  watch for me to be a tad bit more visible on listings of other Fantasy and TSR D&D Collectables for a while........   Laughing

Otherwise, its back to the Glass Bookcase for The Silver Princess..........
And back to the usual all but invisible bids background for me.

It's a hair above what I think they should go for. Snipes are possible up to about maybe $1,750, but there's no way anyone is going to bid anywhere close to $3K. That was ridiculous.

So Troll and Toad's price is around six grand too high? Wow.  At that range it is probably the most overpriced RPG item on the internet, not to mention Ebay.

I was a little surprised Aneoth's item didn't get over 2 grand, though.

Why were you surprised, Mikey? Other than the idiotic $3k one, has one EVER gone for $2K?

There was a very rare wind-up D&D toy with a Buy-It-Now price of $10,000 on Ebay around a month ago.

This is the only one I have ever seen but the price is crazy.

I wasnt surprised it didnt go for that high.  The one that went for over $3K was an abberation.  If thefantasymuseum didnt bite on $2000 I dont see a whole lot of other people doing it either.

We've posted a lot of hysterical wishful thinking here over the years, but that guy just might be our all-time winner.

If Foul announced that he was pruning this thread to just one silly price ... well, that wind-up toy would get my vote.

Problem is, Xax, that I could put up a B2 and ask $50K for it. The idiocy REALLY comes into play when someone actually pays that much.

Wow!   Shocked
I see he has a Bobby the Barbarian puzzle up for $400, I think those usually go in the single digits...

That's true.

I guess there's really two categories in play here: Wishful Thinking (seller) and What Were You Thinking (buyer).

Well, I was thinking that freaks travel in packs. Remember, just this week, we saw a brand new 4E item go for $69, which I was immediately able to turn into $50 for my personal copy. Cmon, in a world where two guys pay $50+ for a module less than a week old, which is undoubtedly destined to be reprinted, can you count out a 2 grand offer fora SW orange B3? I couldn't. I figured some numb nuts would see the one that went for 3 grand...and think they were getting a "steal" at 2 grand. Hey, it was worth a shot. I commend Aneoth for taking it. Honestly, we've all seen crazier prices for less valuable collectibles....
