A poster over on Yog-Sothoth posted the link to the following photo of the volcano in Chile which has erupted after approximately 9000 years of dormancy.
What a great image! Too good not to share!

Edit: I just noticed that the original link posted above is no longer available.
Here is another to the same image (but at a lower resolution).

Following up on my post regarding auction cancellation - according to the description this auction was cancelled for having a link to the Acaeum. I wonder who is reporting these auctions?

I am suspicious by nature and thought that it may have been photoshopped, but I just saw the same picture a few minutes ago on the Discovery channel.

Here is another link with a few more pictures.

It would make a nice printout to show players when they summon a god or demon: "this appears on the horizon, as your characters are overcome by a sense of impending doom."

OK folks I am NOT making this up, look at the lower right corner of that first picture.

What do you see?
Cool

The image is somewhat tuff to glean, as it is mostly hidden in varying shades of grey and black and other colors.

Hmm...all I see is tree branches with some of them lightly covered in ashes.
Of course, something like that is as subjective as seeing images in clouds.

I just see a bunch of tree branches.  Oooh....waitaminute, if you relax your eyes a bit and look a bit off center you can see a sailboat.  Or is that a schooner?  Smile

Dumb bastard....a schooner is a sailboat!  And you know what?  There is no Easter Bunny.*

Isn't that Jack Chick with glowing eyes...looming over a colossal Ronna Jaffe?

Are you talking about the two beady eyes, big nosed visage looking to the left image? Question   It's not so much to the lower right in the photo as it is to the middle right, correct?

Anyone who has been keeping up with recent gaming news has probably heard the news that WOTC might not attend Gen Con.

Are you kidding me?

I predict the absolute death knell for 4E if they pass up the biggest marketing opportunity of the year.  Crazy in so many ways I can't even count them.
