I had an account. Apparently, my password no longer works, so I asked for it to be reset. Never got the email. Therefore, I cannot use the site for anything but looking, which makes it rather useless, really. Oh, and I still refuse to pay for an email address.

yup! i agree! i sold 6 books and i am completey satisfied by the site...

actually i still have some problems in finding (existing) options...

for instance: how to send an invoice/request of payment?

If you go to the Members Area after you login and click on "Selling" then click on the submenu "Sold" it shows all the items you have sold. Below the description of the item, it has a link:

• Send Product(s) Invoice

Just click that and you can send an invoice.

My only issue with the link is you can't edit anything to change the invoice, give a discount etc. So if you must do that, you have to send one from PayPal instead... if the posted shipping and sold price don't need to be changed, it works fine.

Yes, you still have an account, not sure why you didn't get the password reset email mail, unless your spam filter snagged it.

You don't have to "pay" for an email address... though I am sure your internet access isn't free... and whatever ISP you pay to get on the internet, gives you an email address... though gmail.com is allowed on the site and has been since about 3 days after it went online.

If you want a new password, PM me and I'll reset it... then you can login and change it.

How long does it take to receive a reply to a request for opening a seller's account?

MR - when and/or how did you send the request ?

If you use the "contact Us" page.... well, some Spam bot has gone to town on it lately so it might have got lost in the swarm of Spam to me from that page...

If you are looking to sell... a PM here on the site and a PM from eBay to my eBay account: douglaswrhea

I'll get you approved

I recently purchased about 36 more addons for the site.... I'll be getting them installed over the next couple of weeks, so if the site is down for a short time here and there, well I probably jacked something up when installing an addon and I am trying to get it back in working order...

Currently I have installed a visual pretty for the Search bar, added the ability to search by auction number, made the searching results better, and installed the Italian Language pack (translates most all the site except Categories... but I am working on that).

Soon to come:

Hide Empty Catagories
Display Auction location flags (country flags)
Buy Out Discounts
Ending Soon Featured Items mail outs
Email Invites
Mass Feedback
Multi Picture Uploads (all at once instead of one at a time)
Postage Fees (have multiple fees for shipping to various countries)
Preferred Seller Tiers
Related Item Links
Remember It (custom online settings by user)
Remember Me (cookies for auto login)
Scheduled Relister

Other changes are administrative and cosmetic stuff... and some Search Engine optimization tools....

Sounds good, Doug:  I'm planning to start listing soon, so I'll have to dig my account info up and what-not.

Can you put the "Postage Fees (have multiple fees for shipping to various countries) " add-on at the top of your list please.

I am really working on the Postage Fees.. but currently it seems there is a conflict between it and the Return Policy addon... so I am working with both 3rd party devs to work out the issues.

I did install the Feedback Importer so you can go tot he Members Area and on the left menu when you expand the menu, there is a "Seller Tools" ad you can import feedback numbers from:

eBay, Yahoo, BidVille, Bid-Alot, WagglePop, Amazon, Overstock, eBid

I also installed the Store RSS Feed, you can now link an RSS feed from your store listings to another website. The buttons are in you store item listings.

I will continue to get additional mods online as I work to get Postage Fees completed...

Thanks, Doug!  I found it pretty easy to post stuff.  And appreciate the alternative to ebay.

Other addons I installed the last couple of days are:

Custom counters

Digital Downloads - You choose your auction type (ie: Digital Download). during the auction listing you upload the file you are selling (must be in ZIP format to be accepted) and the winning bidder (after paying) will have instant access to download the file.

PayPal Pro Payment type (allows credit card processing without a merchant) - [though I prefer Google Checkout myself for this process since it's cheaper]

Multiple Picture Uploads - now you can browse and select all 6 pictures and upload them all at once for your auction instead of having to upload them one at a time... this should save same time

Related Items - should display a list of Related Items on the site when in an auction listing... currently it only wants to display "closed" auctions so I have it turned off until the dev can figure out why it's not working properly

Watcher Numbers - You can now sort your listing by number of watchers (didn't have a column for watcher before, though you could see number of watchers in the auction)

Seller Step 4 changes - page 4 of the auction creation process was a bit cluttered with fields that didn't need to be there unless you chose specific options, so now the fields don't appear unless you check the box related to them.

Return Policy - Fixed I hope... when I installed the mod, I left out a piece of it so when the auction relisted, it didn't relist with the correct Return Policy settings... hopefully this works now...

Doug,

I have tried to use the import feedback tool and can not seem to get it to work.

The instruction says to put the code on my eBay AboutMe page. Do you mean the My World Page? I am unable to find an AboutMe page.

Thanks.

EDIT

Never mind I needed to create the AboutMe page

I added a simple set of forums to the site, it must be accessed from the "Link Directory"

Currently there is just one section for Auction discussions... I can add more sections, but I'd like to keep it small and use it for discussions about any of the auctions on the site

No, actually, they don't. They used to, before I used them (because I lived where the company that bought them out provided service and when I moved I had to go with the one that no longer exists,) and they were bought out by another company and had everything switched over, except email addresses which simply ceased to work / exist because the domain name was scrapped. So, free email addresses are, basically, my only real way since I'm not going to use my work account for hobby stuff.

But, anyway... I'll try having it reset my password again. Thanks.

When I do this, I get the message "There are no uninvoiced sold items for this user".  But I haven't sent an invoice. Auction #101580.  I think there is something easy I am missing, but would appreciate it if you'd hold my hand through this one time!

Actually this is a bug, and it seems to happen on some items and not others... currently trying to determine why... so this is one more auction number to put on the list to compare with the others that have had this problem.

Add me to the list.

My auction that ended this morning will not let me send an invoice to the buyer. This is a very unnerving problem for a new seller on your site.
