Mike, Please let all the GM's know that trading is allowed and that it wont cause you to loose your hair or anything wierd.

Almost no one would trade last year.

BTW: Have I ever stated how much I hate Autodrafting?
Well I do. Mad

The freaking autodraft crippled my team last seaon.
Of course two screwed up former all pro QBs and two screwed up former all pro RB's had a lot to do with that too.
I am planning to stay FAR away from any of the AINTS (QB), Broncos (RBs), and Chiefs (RB) this time.

But, after the autodraft software was finished with my team, I ended up with 8 or 9 WR's on a team with just 19 players total!   Rolling Eyes

The only reason I won any weeks after week four was through dumb luck and because I had a little bit of luck from the waiver wire.

If there is enough interest, I can renew the non-cutthroat recreational league this year.

I went ahead and renewed the league from last year.  We will have to see if there is enough interest to field enough teams.  For those that have played at Yahoo before, here are the abbreviated instructions:

http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1
League ID: 399749
Password: acaeum

Detailed Instructions (copied from last year)
Click on the following link: http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1.  This takes you to the Yahoo Fantasy Football '08 Home Page
In the "It's Go Time!" section, click on the "Sign Up Now" button.  This should take you to the "Sign in to Yahoo!" page.
You will need a Yahoo ID.
*If you have a Yahoo ID already, sign in.
*If not, click on the "Sign Up" button toward the bottom right of the screen next to the "Don't have a Yahoo! ID?" section.  You will be asked a few questions and then can continue.
Once you are signed in, you should be at the "Welcome to Fantasy Football registration" page.
Click on the "Join league" button under "Managers - Join existing league" header.
This should bring up the "Join a League" page.
Under the "Accept an invitation to join a Custom League" header, select the "Join Custom" button.
Input League ID: 399749
Input Password: acaeum

The Grimjacks are there.  If I am not present, bow before the might of my Autodraft.

Absolutely.  Just watch out for Dragons; they TPKed about every foe they encountered last year.

Okay, I've not played in a FFB league in awhile, and after reading the yahoo site, well let's just say I'm missing some points.

I've read through this thread and instead of asking specifics, I would love if someone could give me a yahoo primer, noting any quirks or weird technical tidbits that a newbie will miss.   For instance, I read about Aneoth's auto-draft blues and I'm still not sure what he did wrong.

Any general advice would be welcomed, especially the Yahoo don'ts list!

Well, we had our yahoo live on-line draft earlier and it seemed to go well.

At the start 5 of the 10 teams managers were not even logged in, but they had probably selected draft rankings prior to the start so that the autodrafter picked there teams for them.

(Have I said I hate them autdrafters?)....

I had the last pick of the draft.....
And worse, MOST of the others seemed to know exactly what they were doing, so by the time my picks came up, the best players were long gone of course, and I picked a few questionable flyer picks here and there, especially in the middle and late rounds.

Anyway, It seemed to go smoothly for the most part, and I was the slowest drafter.
I was warned about my time several rounds (The beeper begins beeping with 10 seconds left).
I think I was the only one to be beeped at for slow picking too..... Rolling Eyes  Embarassed

I had the 10th pick out of ten teams.
I think I did ok.

If the Grimjacks drafted better than you did, you deserve to be humbled.  Smile

I will wait until the first game to see how my season looks.  I suspect that I will do poorly, but I will enjoy it anyway.

Yes, I think I did a bit better in some rounds than that team, but we have yet to play a game, so who can say for sure?

I got Tom Brady.  Could be great, could still be hurt.  Had to go for him though.  One thing about him - he's interesting to watch whether he's playing or he's on the bench.   Wink

I picked up a couple of rookies in later rounds I feel hopeful about - Steve Slaton and Ray Rice.

The Ladies of Pain's first matchup is against your Grimjacks, JG.  Bring it on.

Should be a fun season.

Thanks for setting it up, Avur.

Brady was a safe pick, so dont go thinking otherwise.
And the two rookies you mentioned were both on my radar too.
But they got lost in the pain of the whirlwind tour............
