It would be hilarious to see it go ridiculously cheap,
and see Coug's face pucker up like the south end of a north bound camel.

I think everyone should deliberately NOT bid, and let Al have it for stupidly cheap money. Then perhaps he can pass it on to someone in need for a really nice price. Coug gets fuked, and everyone involved is ahppy.

That would be amusing Laughing
Although that does put pressure on Al to sell it for a 'really nice price'.  He may be happier just putting it up on ebay.

If Coug could stiff a billion people and do the right thing by just one then Al would be the one got his parcel! (Remember Dodgy DM Dave is WATCHING Shocked  Wink )

(I notice a few 'names' bidding on Cougs Beastmaker and Blasted Lands - anyone manage to get a shipping quote yet?!)
(And why is his L3 going for £50 already - go to Asgi.co.uk (waves to Al) and get the set for £65)(been meaning to ask Al, how much to ship that puppy?)

so what did you make of that then?

two somewhat unusual wins for a french bidder with 9 feedback who has one totally unrelated ebay win in the last year, to shell out so much for 2 items and amazingly to bid right near the end too!

well there ya go Smile

defo something going on there  mightily unusual. yeah the "buyer" was getting other things off guido, but would someone so new, just bounce in and pay quite large amounts for 2 items off the beaten track, one someone new wouldnt necessarily know what they were?

ah well anyway no matter.

Wow Sad  I knew that I had kind of screwed myself when I put up Kobold Hal with a BIN of $69.99 that I had made a mistake but after looking around here more closely I now fully realize just how bad I came out on the deal. I have since made demands of all my friends selling their stuff to look at this site way before even considering listing items on eBay. I think I should be added to your Christmas card list bclarkie for essentially giving you that module ::sigh::

Ya, that was ungreased rape. Kobold is the rarest of the folders.

Actually, Kobold Hal is reputedly far rarer than Kobold Hall, so it's worse than you had imagined.

Not to rub it in, but you know what Darwin said...

By the way, which number was it?

It was #268.  Let's face I am not going to say I don't think I didn't get a good deal, I did get a good deal, but were not talking about a $1,000 item here.  The folder is actually pretty rough and its also got a fairly large blue ink stamp on the title page.  It's probably also worth noting that I had nothing to do with the price that was set, I just saw it and snagged it.  I suspect the price was set based on the yellow foldered Beastmaker Mountain that tdewey was selling around the same time that only went in the $70 range, but I could be mistaken on that. I am sure he can either confirm or deny it.

Honestly, If I would would dump it back onto Ebay right now, I'd expect to get somewhere around $150 to $200 for it, which again makes it a good deal, but nothing earth shattering.  I have both seen and gotten better deals on many other items.  Smile

well i have to say good one to BC on this. any seller who doesnt research things first, well, its hardly the buyers fault?

BC did nothing wrong. in fact, if he hadnt pillaged the BIN, i would have Smile

tough luck to the seller really. lesson to be learnt?

Just face it... if you put up a BIN, bclarkie will get it. Therefore, never list anything as a BIN. Ever.

Lol, believe me, I was not trying to put any blame on bclarkie. I think he is a very nice person at least from the email conversations I have had with him. My comment was more just of an "man you are an idiot comment pointed solely in my own direction". If anyone or especially if you bclarkie read my post as a slam against you I apologize because that was not my intention at all. I was fairly new to the listing process and the only research I did on the item was watching one other auction for a Role Aids folderr module. I saw it sell for about $60 and priced by BIN right above that. Again, if you took my post as anything against you it was not that at all. Sorry Sad

I was going through some old Mayfair catalogs and thought I would point out that Fez, Beastmaker Mountain and Nanorian Stones were still for sale in the 1983 catalog.  In 1984 is states that they were sold out.  They have a picture showing the 5 folders and what looks to be the Kobold Hall and Blasted Lands but they aren't listed so they were probably already sold out.

Questio. I was looking through my small Mayfair / Role Aids collection and just wondering. Are there any sites that give a full product and printing list? Or does this thread contain about as much info as I'll find anywhere. When I collect lines of items, I like to make out a list of all products and printings and then cross them off as I acquire them.
