OK, I'm probably the only one who didn't know this, but I just figured out who the portrait is that FormCritic uses.
Robert E. Howard... |

You would be only the fourth person to recognize REH's picture and mention it. |

I used to have a quote from REH. I liked the Lake of Tears line (from Forever Autumn) so much that I decided to use it.
I was put onto Lake of Tears by Winterwords, here on the Acaeum. I now have several of their CD's: Forever Autumn, Black Brick Road and Crimson Cosmos.
They are simple and charming...with their Finnish accents and all. Over-produced and melodramatic...much like any product D&D players might make or like.
I have never met another person who even knows who they are.

My second favorite thing about the world wide web is the music one can find. (The first being the Acaeum, of course ) Even if I don't understand the language, the music and emotion comes through. Or not, depending on the source. |

Holmes? He edited Basic D&D, right?
So D&D is related to Scientology! |

Is that what that was. My old eyes can't see a font that small. I thought it was a messed up smiley. |

I'm glad I wasn't the only one, I copied it and then increased the font size until I could read it... |

Holmes Basic? - you could even say 'Elementary'!
(I'm probably going to stop now!)
Though it is 'clear' that D&D is probably not related to Scienology! |

Wasn't there a guy called L. Ron in Lord of the Rings? Scientology is really into FRP, eh? |

Argh! I bow to your superior punning abilities
D&D and scientology would be a tenuous connection at best.
(D&D has Vin Diesel and Scientology has Tom Cruise - talk about a rock and a hard place?)
