So...this warriors of mars book. my friend has just mailed me and updated things:
Dirt on the spine, won't come off. Moderate staple rust. Minor edge wear. Back inside cover has a price maked out in ink and rewritten in same ink. Booklet is strong in binding with no rips or tears.
and here is a pic:
imo, fantastic value for money. me is super-happy

More than fantastic, Al, it is a classic that will go down in fun finds history. God-like, even.

Now you'll have to check to see if the price list has the dice set's price corrected in ink or not

Shane I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and figured you were trying to determine which price was crossed out vs. presuming it to be the dice that were crossed out |

My wife is probably going to give me some shit when she finds out about this as I told her I would curtail my Ebay spending until GenCon. Oh well...just couldnt pass this up:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300224169437&s sPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=020
Is that price about right for a third printing? With the exception of the one dinged corner the box looks to be in super condition. The second place bidder met my high bid of $45 but luckily didnt go any higher. Hopefully the seller is being truthful about the contents and everything is there. |

I have been bidding on a lot of Tunnels and Trolls items of late and had trouble getting a box set of the rules.
I finally snagged one on the cheap ($5.00). The box is trashed (Bottom and top both torn on at least two corners).
The T&T rule book is in good condition with one loose page and more starting to loosen.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250246551442
The box sets contents are not complete but what is there is mostly ecellent to near mint.
1) Buffalo Castle (Solo Dungeon 1)
2) Castle Ward (Introductory Game Scenario)
3) FBI 1993-94 Catalog.
4) Rules book as described above
Missing the Dice and the Player Character Pack (10 player sheets)
And as an unadvertised bonus the following items were also inside that box.
1) Catacombs of the Bear Cult by Jin "Bear" Peters
2) Heroic Fantasy (Play by Mail Rules by FBI)
3) FBI Play by Mail Catalog (1993)
4) The Isle of Darksmoke (Gamemaster scenario by Blade (FBI division))
5) Caravan to Tiern (Solo 22 FBI)
6) City of Terrors (Solo 9 FBI)
Most of the items added can still be found at the FBI web site, but still a nice bonus package for the $5 investment.
From the same seller I also puchased a Night Below box Set that is complete.
The box is shelf-worn but the corners are still in one piece. The contents are complete and in nice condition.
The price was right for this one too at $6.50.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250246529176&s sPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=015
Along with combined shipping I spent less than $20 total for all the above.
Not a steal, but a very good deal I think. |

You held back the fun details until the end. Cool pickup! |

I think we've been looking at the same items - I asked him about combined shipping on both of those and he put it on the Q&A section
Nice pickup on the Naked Doom last night....I didn't want to go above 15 for it |

Thanks, but I didnt even know about any of the undescribed bonus items until I opened the package and then the T&T Box. Though when I lifted it I thought.... "Man this thing sure is heavy and seems stuffed". As soon as I opened it up I put on my happy face as I knew then that I had some extra goddies.
The entire lot of T&T are later prints, but it was nice to get so many extra goodies in a low priced auction. |
