Considering the sordid details of the Cretan Minotaur's conception, surely a bit of nudity isn't too shocking?! |
Just shocked you made him a lefty... |

As for Mind Flayers, I don't plan to do them. There are certain monsters whose IP rights WotC will probably defend vigorously, and the Mind Flayer is one of them.
I just got the green for the new Minotaur, and will post some pics later. |
Just another thought, Richard. Does this mean that you will not be making an owlbear? |

No, Jon, I reckon an Owlbear is fair game. The following figures are not subject to the OGL, so I won't be touching them:
* beholder
* gauth
* carrion crawler
* displacer beast
* githyanki
* githzerai
* kuo-toa
* mind flayer
* slaad
* umber hulk
* yuan-ti
WTF is a Gauth? |

It's a kind of beholder...a lesser variety, I believe. |

Great stuff I'll snap up an owlbear (or two - two head variants?) straight away.
Shame about the mindflayer and the umberhulk but I understand where you are coming from. |

What if you make a lesser beholder? Call it a Peeker or Glancer or something. |

Excactly: you can definitely work around the OGL restrictions by creating mind-flayer-like minis, beholder-like minis, etc. If you feel hte need to follow the OGL at all (does it even apply to miniatures??), there are plenty of equivalent monsters out there that you can leverage that are close enough to the originals that it's not a big deal to make it an "umbra hulk" or whatever instead. |

It has to be the all time classic of titanic D&D creatures but it has never had a properly scaled miniature! |

That reminds me of a quote I heard somewhere (forgive me but I do not remember where).

God D!@# It! That thing scared the hell out of me when I scrolled down!
That is massive. Plastic, I assume? Metal (somehow), I hope? |

Sorry guys, this model is far too big to cast in metal. It'll be a resin casting, in 5 pieces, maybe 6. He's about 45mm across the head and 380mm long, so that works out at roughly 9' wide and 75' long in miniature scale.
I'm making good progress, so I'll post another pic later today. |

That's great! I will definitely be buying one of these. Let us know when they're available to order. |

Here are the latest pics of the Purple Worm. Pretty close to finished, just got to seperate him into castable pieces, and do a bit of tidying work. I'm hoping he'll be available in early May 08.

Here are the greens for the new 'DM5b - Gnoll Warriors II' and 'DM5c - Gnoll Warriors III'. They're head and weapon variants of the original 2 Gnolls released last month.
I'm hoping they'll be available about a month from now. I'll add better photos to the 'Coming Soon' page on my website when I get chance.
Also, here's a pic of 'DM7 - Slime, Ooze, Jelly & Pudding', on 40mm round and 50mm square bases.
