This is a boxed set of modules complete with poster size maps and paper figures for basic D&D.  I believe they produced 3 different sets like this in the early 90's.

Each box had three mini modules they were supplements for the large black box D&D set of the mid-late 90s.

This will give you an idea what is inside, although I do not think it is complete:

There were 3 Adventure Packs:

The Dragon's Den

The Goblin's Lair

and I forget the name of the last one

Here is a link with a description of the contents;

They are fairly common.

Adding to McDuff's info:

There is the black box D&D game:

  1070 Dungeons & Dragons Game

followed by the three Adventure Packs:

  1073 The Dragon's Den

  1076 The Goblin's Lair

  1081 The Haunted Tower

The Adventure Packs each have a three adventures (which requires you to have the black box D&D to play) and a stand-alone mini-game (so you could still play a game if all you had was an Adventure Pack).

And the black box is the D&D Master box?  Or something else entirely?

The black box Dungeons & Dragons is another version of the D&D game and is the same size as the Adventure Pack boxes.  It shows a copyright date of 1991.

The Master set came out in the mid-80s.
