Did anyone get a list from the seller on what this lot contained? Looked like it went super high. Perhaps something very rare contained in it?

Suprised you weren't the buyer Mike...  it seemed to have a decent amount of non or early TSR stuff in there.  Some stuff I'd never even heard of.

Well Shaun, myself and another collector were looking at the lot and perhaps going to pitch in and bid on it, then split the lot up. However $700 was ridiculous. I was thinking more of the line of $200-260 for that lot. I am not sure why it went for that much as I never received a list of what was in there so its hard to judge. However from looking at the Cougarinard style list, a few items caught my eye:

Book of Ebon Bindings

Ringbearer

The Ebon would have been great for my non tsr collection and the Ringbearer would add onto my evergrowing tolkien collection.

personally I though it was the EPT minitures that made it so high, although the D&D boxed set (which looks nice in the pic) and the early (1-?) whould also of helped... wish a more detailed description was giver...

Well, I finally heard back from them. There was a NM 2nd print PoVQ in the lot, and they want $750 for it. The reason? "That is what it is listed for in the Acaeum". The rest of the lot they are keeping. They'll be keeping the Palace as well at that price!

Well, anyone who pays $750 for a Palace is a downright idiot.

You guys missed the most amusing part of the description:

"I really don't know anything about the game, but this is a lot of stuff that my grandfather owned."

Now that makes me feel old...    Wink

Its kind of sad that his grandfather obviously went to a lot of trouble collecting this stuff (had a passion for it) and he is just selling it off Sad
