I just had an email exchange with WOTC corporate counsel Shelley McKinley. She said that we should report illegal eBay auctions with PDF files of copyrighted material to the following email address:

Andrew.Smith@wizards.com

Andrew will then investigate those auctions.

Alright This is too Great, especially as a seller, I am really happy to now have a way to get some of the Bad persons out of this. It only hurts us all sellers and buyers  when this stuff is posted sold or bought.

Thank You for getting this.

Psst  Can we request this be a sticky for us with the title called Report a PDF Seller to WOTC.

Thanks

Done!

Although I'd suggest that we not swamp WotC with e-mails -- one notification should be sufficient.  This topic can be replied to, so post a reply with a link to that particular eBay auction, and tell everyone here that you've notified WotC.

Well, I might as well be the first one to report a copy seller.  Here is the link.  I will e-mail it to WOTC.

Check this asshole out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3144757177

And his reply when I said it was copyrighted:

Yes, they where, but are out of print now and unavilable to most everyone. Im offering those who like creating RP adventures an opertunity for them to use this formate in hopes that they will reissue the sheets.

Where? Unavilable? opertunity? Formate? What is this guy, a dock worker in Sri Lanka or something?

I'd like to point out that the copies of Misty Isles and Dwarven Glory he sold me were authentic ones, albeit victims of disassembling...

I reported that.

It amazes me what some people will do for a couple of $'s!

I also e-mailed the seller, told them that they had been reported, and suggested that maybe they could sell directions to this link too:

I can't wait to see the nasty reply.    Very Happy

You could also report to Ebay in this case since it is against their policies to "ship" items via email.

I did that too.

We'll see what happens!  Of course by the time the crack squad of e-bay police get to the report, the auction will have been over for several days!

Oh, well.    Rolling Eyes

I'm sure the reserve on C1/2 is set at $1,000. That seems to be the magic number. Surprised Burnie hasn't used BIN.

Shoes!  I wish...  Try furniture!    Crying or Very sad

That way they get to make you miserable before, during and after the shopping experience!

Unfortunately, you are all safe on those two...  I only bid to keep an eye on the auctions.   (My watch list is full. Embarassed )

Although, if I were to win them at $200.00 I could probably sell some shoes to pay for them!

Good luck all!  I wish I were in a position to give you a run for your money!    Mad
