I dont even think I have ever seen Planes Of Conflict go for that much and it is more highly sought after than Dead Gods!  That is just one person wanting something so bad that they will do anything to get it.  I know how he feels....I pushed an 8 year old boy out of the aisle at Half Price Books to get mine.  Razz

Just kidding obviously....I would never do that.  Nah, I would just tell the kid that Santa Claus was giving out free presents at the front door.  Wink

I must say . . . I think it is entirely possible that the two people in the bidding war were under the impression that they were getting all five books in the picture - Dead Gods, Modron March and all the Monstrous Appendices.  If that is the case . . . they are going to be sorely disappointed.   Confused

His MINT stuff is definalty pricey but not out of reach, I have seen the Fiends book go for over $50.00 many times.  I have got some great deals from Troll & Toad (mostly at Gencon).  He just wants to have a good selection of MINT stuff to browse.

He is really not that bad.

He's no "The Original Gamer", but his prices are pretty wacko on a lot of stuff.

$45 for a NIS Eternal Boundary? lol
$35 for Doors to the Unknown? GL with that!
$85 for Faces of Evil is just silly.

Just take most of his items and compare them to the competition's prices. He's almost always the most expensive seller, unless TOG happens to have a copy too Wink

An example in the second book I compared - his NIS Doors to the Unknown is $70. HikingViking's is $22. Mine is $22. There's no reasonable reason to have yours listed at triple the price.

Hopefully that goes off without a hitch, cause thats a damn good amount to get for an auction like that.

I had a few emails from this buyer prior to the end of the auction.  And he seems like a genuinely nice bloke.  Will still keep my fingers crossed though.

Killjoy> I think I picked up my copy for about a tenner... though it was comming from america... I find that the british market seems a little higher for planescape than the american one.. it's wierd.. I suppose the exchange rates on the side of us brits though isn't it?

My best thing I think was picking up about 6 shrinkwrapped adventures for about £20... they're all in perfect condition and soo sooo pretty... I luff them. hahah. I'm a freak.

Yeah, that's really high. It's usually about $20-25 USD, so they're asking about double going rate. Not crazy, but I think they'll have the stock sitting there a while, heh. Especially since they're not listing it on ebay.com.

William, FWIW, that flask is not unique.  There are others out there.  They are hard to find and pretty rare, but they are by no means unique.  Smile
