Hello,

apologies if there is a discussion about Tegel Manor somewhere else. I was wondering how many maps go with this product (1 or 2?) and whether it is worth anything. Thanks in advance btw.

Two maps.

There is now a complete Judges Guild database on Acaeum, but no link to it as yet (maybe there should be a link, Scott, instead of having to look through the threads for the link.)

hey fluffy

two maps chummer...one large map and a smaller map.

ian is quite correct there. we have been researching on the tegel manor and other things quite extensively recently, so if you go and look on the JG subweb, you will now have all the information that you require Smile

Thanks for the replies. Was quite a surprise to see this thing pop-up from a stack of D&D stuff I bought. I'll have to try to locate those 2 maps somewhere in the 200 lbs of D&D stuff I bought lately Sad

Indeed... Sad
*fingers crossed they might be in the box (/tea chest)*

I picked up the maps back in April for £5.50 before I had the booklet (darned elusive, expensive critter... Razz).
Don't recall seeing any "spares" since then.

Nice Orange Tegel btw, fluffs! Smile

When you get that sorted..post a list because I just may need to ask some questions depending on what you have.

(People should hopefully know by now to have all JG items someplace accessible Wink )

There will indeed be a front-page link to the subwebs in the next site update.  I unfortunately can't post the new home page early, because of certain other changes that have already been performed on it.  The good news is, the site update will be coming very soon, so hang on with the text link in the forum messages for just a little while longer.

Shane,

I have an orange Tegel at hand that I bought new "way back when". I'm getting ready to put it up on eBay, but I'll be happy to answer any questions for you while I still have it.

The set includes:
   1 orange Guidelines booklet L,
   1 double sided Players' map,
   1 double sided Judge's map,
   1 yellow Character Checklist, and
   1 cover sheet/Booty List.

I was able to buy a set of Tegel maps off fencert (I am sure that spelling is not 100% correct can someone correct it for me) from eBay earlier this year. At that time I seem to recall him saying one of the maps was getting low in stock. If you need the maps you might try contacting him through one of his auctions.

Which Characters Checklist do you have..and what is the highest number on that Booty list cover sheet? Also are you the original owner?

Thanks,

Shane,

First off, I am the original owner.

My Characters Checklist most closely matches the picture of the second printing. It is a slightly lighter shade, although that might be due to fading. The grid lines are more clearly delineated than those of the picture.

The Booty List has #35 as its highest number in the "regular" list, but down at the bottom it lists #s 36 & 37 as new non-sub items.

Well, I'm about to go out and brave the wild world of Christmas shopping  Very Happy  If you'd like any scans, PM me your email address and I'll be happy to send them to you later tonight.

Well there it is, only the 1st, 5th, 6th pegged down. (Course could be more then 6 printings)

CC from #14 sheets (?March/April?) 1977: has thick font
CC from Booklet L w Booty List 37 (?July/August?) 1977: has thin font
CC from #14 book w list 53 (?Jan-March?) 1978: has thin font

the only thing that worries me about all them "prints" is if there actually ARE that many prints. as is evidenced from looking thru many things JG over the months, i do honestly think there is a plentiful mis-match going on with many of the JG items.

i cannot believe that bob could have afforded to do so many print runs all the time and dont forget, this was just ONE item amongst the many others. would it have not been easier to just grab a book, stick it with items A B and C and out it goes?

back in the day, nobody would have been bothered one way or the other.

just a thought really thats all and it would certainly explain the great many dead-ends we are having with regards to research of a number of the items we have been looking into....

The only thing that I think confirms the various prints is this:
1 Installment (no cover sheet)
3 Different Cover Sheets w Booklet L
2 Color Cover Tegels

More research is required mind you, since I'd like to see if I can peg down the 1980 Coversheet with Booklet L, and the first Color cover Tegel 1980 (though with no ads or listings being in color it maybe impossible).
The Installment L, and then the Cover sheet with BL 37 would be 1977 (as one is shipped to guildmembers for April, then the other later offered to be shipped and sold in stores) The blank cover sheet though is the unknown. (even mine did not come with the booklet L, and my thin CC I can't recall when I got it or with what.)
