I know it doesn't come up on eBay all that often, but http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290233687840 is still a bit optimistic in my mind.

Especially since I know you can get copies in similar condition for significantly less.

Everyone of that guy's auctions is a fantasy. He must not really want to sell anything, but if someone wants to overpay by quite a bit he'll let it go.

Turns out the seller triggered a bunch of my stored searches, but I didn't clue in to the fact that it was all the same guy.  Here I just thought there was a sudden rash of optimistic/delusional sellers. Laughing

Taking another look at his items, I'm now trying to figure out which of them is the worst.  The $100 copy of Pendragon 4th edition is up there, in my books.

Some of the BINs in the store aren't too outrageous. Some. Maybe 5%, but some.

I think you're being charitable.  I don't think I've ever seen a Gaslight box crack even $100 (maybe if it was in shrinkwrap, but I've never seen one), let alone approach $200.

Actually, scratch my never seen a shrinked one comment.  Just noticed that that one is.

Still not worth $200, IMO though.

Be careful posting that here, innocent adventurers may think it is an alchemists unguent, which the party can apply to help them find treasure (booty) more easily.

Maybe its a nasty DMs accessory to give to the goody two shoes cleric, after he gets captured by a band of orcs.

(I think that was inspired by Tenacious D and the pick of destiny  Twisted Evil )

This nut put a bunch of Traveller items up on Ebay yesterday.  This one is my favorite of the bunch:

This is the fourth or fifth time over the past year that this guy has tried (and failed) to sell them for these outrageous prices.  Confused

When the customer is satisfied with a purchase and leaves positive feedback then we are more than happy to leave feedback in kind.

We do not leave positive feedback until the customer lets us know everything is ok by leaving us positive feedback.

Ebay policy changes.  He's not getting it.  Rolling Eyes

Is it my imagination or has there been an explosion of DGP recently? Remember we were talking about the 'rare' Ref's Gaming Kit, just the other day. Since then I've seen 3 more up for auction and one of them just failed to sell for £9.99 (had a hint sheet missing). Alien Vols I & II just went for under $50 each. Something going on with Traveller?

I like that: freakishly rare.

Wow. That item is so rare it's freakish. Hey everyone check it out. Let's freak together.  PDT_Armataz_01_13

When an item appears on Ebay for a high price, people who have that particular item tend to throw their own copy up hoping to cash in.

It gets funny when a number of them do it, asking impossible prices because some other guy has posted a Buy-It-Now for $575.

The $575 guy generally got his price by looking at listings on Amazon.
