11-648 pit fiend up to $60.00 with a couple of hours left. This one is actually pretty cool, so this isn't that bad, but still a little high (imho)....good thing I've got a couple.
The high bidder is Fisher5676... a regular of the 11 series auctions over the years, but lately I've noticed he is paying INSANE (imho) prices for not-so-rare mini's.

I don't think he's a member of the forum. He's recently sold off quite a bit of his miniatures collection, mostly Heritage and Minifigs. I'm actually still awaiting shipment on a bunch of those blister packs.
And the pit fiend is worth every penny. It's a great figure and I have two.
And one more thing about the 11 series, their prices for the most part are only going to continue to go up IMO since they won't be reproduced due to licensing restrictions, and they're the largest and best run of official D&D or AD&D line of metal miniatures ever put out. The plastic being put out today just pales in comparison. |

You're correct about the pit fiend, it is nice. I was able to pick mine up a couple of years ago for about $40.

Agree with you 100% my friend. Those are the best looking mini's period, with the exception of the "adventures"....those could have been a little better (IMO)
My collection of a few hundred go up in value, yet the ones I need are going to cost me with all the competition now.
Damn that cursed double edged sword |

I was watching those auctions, too (Of course), and I must say I'm incredibly surprised they got up so high. I won an Aasimon, myself, a week or two ago for 16.50. Kind of crazy if you ask me. You don't see the Cornugon up for auction too often, so that one wasn't too surprising, but still... it's not the greatest mini in the world.
The buyer's been hovering around a lot of the Planescape mini auctions (I've sniped him a few times, as of late ), so guess he must want them badly. Still surprising! I'm glad robsfigs gave me that second chance offer for $35 for the carded Pit Fiend a couple weeks ago. Definitely an awesome mini. I've got my assembled one sitting here near the computer. *pets the pit fiend* |

I just picked up a nice size lot off of ebay.

That had to be the reason.
As far as the pit fiend, it is a very cool mini, yet in my opinion not vey rare. One is listed on ebay every 2 weeks or so. He probably said "enough is enough" and was getting them no matter what the cost. |

WOW!! Frank, your right on those, mini's prices are going through the roof!! Looks like I won't be able to pick up any of those at a decent price.
If you look at the bid history on that auction, it was alot of "newbies" bidding, doesn't look like any shill activity though. |

Just listed some more 11-series auctions on ebay. See also the Calssifieds board.

That looks like the ebay record to me Frank, he dropped over $200 for both of them... frightening. |

Black Arishai is really hard to find, though. I just picked up an extra one the seller had for $76. I just need one more Planescape blister for the complete set. |

Rub it in why don't you...
I can't force myself to outbid the Fish on the 10 or so that I need. Have any doubles? |

Fisher is tough to beat; I'm hoping he already has the last ones I need.
I have very few duplicates. As soon as I get dupes I put them back up on eBay. I have storage for only one of each blister or box set. Space is at a premium here in NYC. I'm always amazed when people say they have 12 B2's and 10 PHBs. I try to parse my collection down to one fine copy of each item. Anything extra goes up on eBay. |

I picked up this lot of 11- series minis and would appreciate an estimate of their value. They are all still in the blisters. Some of the hanger boards are faded and a little beaten up. Over all they are in excellent condition. I do not collect minis but after reading thru this thread I decided to buy them. Seeing the mini displayes and painted ones has me second guessing not collecting them also. Here is the list:
11-002 clerics 2 pcs
11-003 magic users 2 pcs

It's really tough to say how much they are worth. The values fluctuate with one week a Ravenloft Life Energizers blister going for $35, and the week after for only $8. As a general ballpark figure, I would estimate each blister you have could sell for $8 to $12 with some going for more and others a bit less, so about $700 for the lot.
Just my two coppers... |

That's a nice lot of mini's you picked up, a little bit of everything. As Dathon said, it's hard to predict what the actual "worth" is, $5-12 is a fair guide for most.
Lately more & more of the 11 series are showing up on ebay, so I think the prices of the commons have actually dropped a little.
Here's what I think would sell for around $15-25 on a day when the fish are biting
11-101 werebat set ravenloft
11-121 assorted life energizers ravenloft
11-436 frost giant
11-476 beholder kin
11-478 kenku
11-479 bulette
11-513 greater yugoioth
11-644 armanites
11-649 chasme |
