I find any rare old cottage RPGs just about impossible to win these days. I think there are a lot out there with deep pokcets that have everything readily available and just fight it our for the strange and rare non-TSR stuff. Sometimes I waste time doing peculiar searches, but whereas a couple of years ago I would pick up the odd item, now I give up after an hour or so  -- I assume the high rollers are trawling Ebay backwards and forwards and upside down with every odd RPG term conceivable, like big companies with driftnets turning the sea into a desert. Only solution is to finish this (expletive) degree , get back to work, and then join the high rollers.
