yeah i checked that - it has that price on the page itself and then a sticker placed over it with the $8.95 price, but in the same font as the one below it. so done at source?

great item though - i really like stuff like this.

just a further on from this, i got an item from Bob Anderson, off ebay some weeks ago. if i think on later, i will fire off an e-mail to him about it. doesnt necessarily mean a new print, could just mean they changed the price at a later date and just stuck the sticker on to reflect their new sale price at the time?

will be interesting to see what he comes back about it.

Yes, I think that is most likely the case.  With the same font, etc.  It was probably done at the source and probably just a price update.  Many of their other products did have 2 prints.

well when i get a chance, what i will do is run off a few scans of obvious areas that might show a change or something.

would be good to get a scan up on the ToT page anyway, just to reflect it all.

i will do a page count for the booklet and the sheets too.

That would be good.  The Sage Lore stuff is really tough to track down.  I think I have one of everything but am still looking for a couple different printings and 3 issues of The Scroll fanzine.

Didnt these use to garner more interest?

Or are they just total crap anymore?

Both Noble Knight and Diff Worlds sell these for fairly cheap.  Also, they were part of that counterfeiting scheme.

This one is genuine - the fakes look fake.  I am actually looking for a fake one if anyone has one.

Was the one that Aaron had in his store last year a fake? If he pulled it from his catalog maybe he still has it?

Yes, Aaron did have the fakes at some point.  He got rid of them but it too a while longer to update the stock photo.

Both The Tavern and the Montie Haul Dungeon were faked.

The fake ones are on pink stock.

NobleKnight used to have a pink fake one listed in their online sale picture, but they pulled those as soon as the counterfeiting was uncovered.

They may still have some of the counterfeits on hand.

The one I bought from NobleKnight...for exactly the price of the auction linked above...was genuine.

Wow, had I known those things were popular, I'd have sold them to you guys... instead, I shredded my fakes (I had two of them at one point,) and gave a real copy away to a friend as part of his birthday present (he got a lot of RPG stuff...)

Very nice! I have hunted for that from time to time but never been lucky. Didn't see this one.

Is R'nokks a hard thing to find, then? I snabbed one not long ago, too. Got some neat stuff in there.

Its a small press book so it does take a bit of patience to get one.  I have seen about 6-8 copies sold so they are out there but you do sometimes have to wait a few months in between Ebay listings.

So, yes hard to find but not impossible.

I like this quite a bit, and seeing as I got the first printed (literally) designer cards (Gary Gygax and Jim Ward, most especially), I figured it was worth the shot -- almost won the second one, too, but it got pretty high (well, $50 more than this one).

Adventurer is a cool little pick-up game that plays quickly and is easy to understand.
